IceFest 2013 took place on January 4th-8th in Ljubljana, Slovenia at Bežigrad Stadium. In celebration of the 80th anniversary of the first ice hockey match ever held in Slovenia, Ljubljana's famous Bežigrad Central Stadium, designed by the architect Jože Plečnik in 1925. The game 80 years ago was between Ilirija Ljubljana, the forerunner of today’s Olimpija Ljubljana, versus KAC. on January 4th Olimpija played against VSV Villach winning in overtime 4-3!! Kevin with the game winning goal! It was an exciting game! On the 6th they played Medvescak Zagreb winning 8-4! Another good game! Kevin got a Hatrick! It was Jan Mursak's last game for the season with Olimpija, with the lockout ending the day before he is back to Detroit for training camp with the Red Wings this week! He had a very good game that night too, getting 2 goals and 1 assist! The final game of the IceFest was on the 8th against KAC Klagenfurt it was a very good game, the boys played well but lost 4-2 (the last goal being an empty net). It was a fun 3 game series although most of us girls were so cold the first game we went to, we ended up watch the other 2 on TV :) Some of these pictures weren't sent to me by some of the team photographers!
