Sirmione!

Happy Halloween!

Kevin usually has early practice on Tuesday and night practice on Wednesday so we decided to take advantage and go see a beautiful city close by while the weather is still nice! We headed to Sirmione! Sirmione is a commune located on the Sirmio Peninsula that divides the lower half of Lake Garda! One of the most beautiful places I've ever been!

Enjoying some vino rosso at the hotel!

Milo came along!

Our Hotel in Sirmione! We stayed at Yachting Hotel Mistral! Yachting Hotel Mistral Website! For the night in October it was only 80 Euros and they allowed pets, provided bikes we could ride into town, and included a complimentary breakfast!

We went to Sirmione with the Ulmers

Kirsten was putting flowers in my hair!

Bike riding along the coast into the castle at night was the most fun ever! We had a great time with new friends!

Traveling the world with my best friend!

The beautiful Lake Garda is surrounded by Mountains! Its gorgeous!

The castle had been built in the 13th century and had been a port fortification which had been used widely by the fleet of the Scaliger family. - See more at: http://www.lifeinitaly.com/tourism/lombardy/scaliger-castle-sirmione#sthash.lfWAKwNp.dpuf

Just an hour and a half drive away from Asiago you have palm trees!

Yes Milo is a big boy now!

Fall in Italy!

Down this street has the large villas that the rich Romans had for holiday houses!

This place is pretty amazing! Wish we could of checked it out! The Terme di Catullo uses the water that bubbles out of Lake Garda near the northern shoreline. The water is mineral rich and is 70 degrees Celsius and is used for health treatments. Since Kevin has an Italian Passport, we heard he could go there for a week free!

Milo eating gelato :)

One of my favorite dishes to get in Italy! Carpaccio made thinly sliced raw meat, arugola, shaved parmeson, and lemon juice! its the best and was very good and fresh in Sirmione!

Traditional drink in Northern Italy is the "Hugo"! Made with prosecco, aqua frizzante, elderflower cordial, mint leafs and lime! I'm not a fan of the "Aperol Spritz" that everyone drinks here so this is a good substitute for me!

I love my family <3

Italian Word of the Day:
Lago meaning Lake
