Carnevale!

Carnevale is celebrated in Italy 58 days before easter till the day before Ash Wednesday, when we celebrate Mardi Gras, Fat Tuesday, or Paczki Day! Everyone dresses up in costumes and has a party, below are pictures of Kevin's Italian teammates and Coach all dressed up!

Venetian Carnevale!

Carnevale is very popular in Venice originating in 1162, becoming official in the Renaissance! They celebrated by dancing in San Marco Square the victory of Venice (originally called "Repubblica della Serenissima") against the Patriarch of Aquileia. The Venetian tradition is most famous for its distinctive mask's. Carnevale of Venice went through a long absence and returned to operate in 1979, when the Italian government decided to bring back the history and culture of Venice. Today they have 3,000,000 visitors each day during the 2 weeks of Carnevale!

PEACE & LOVE,
Kevin & Amanda
