Here are some of the sights from our second day in Copenhagen!
Beach away from the beach! So cute a floating sand deck with lounge chairs and beer buckets!
The spires of Christiansborg and Børsen in the distance! I loved all the spires that pierced the skylines of Copenhagen!
Børsen is a building on Slotsholmen in central Copenhagen. It is built by Christian IV in 1619–1640 and is the oldest stock exchange in Denmark.
Børsen It is particularly known for its Dragon Spire shaped as the tails of four dragons twined together, reaching a height of 56 metres.
Christiansborg Palace on the islet of Slotsholmen in central Copenhagen, is the seat of the Danish Parliament, the Danish Prime Minister's Office and the Danish Supreme Court. The palace is thus the house of Denmark's three supreme powers: the executive power, the legislative power, and the judicial power. It is the only building in the world that houses all three of a country's branches of government.
Christiansborg Palace's present building, the third to be built on the site, is the last in a series of successive castles and palaces constructed on the same site since the erection of the first castle in 1167. The main part of the current palace, finished in 1928, is in the historicist Neo-baroque style. The chapel dates to 1826 and is in a neoclassical style. Under the present palace lie the ruins of Bishop Absalon's Castle and Copenhagen Castle.
Holmens Kirke is a church in central Copenhagen on the street called Holmens Kanal. First built as an anchor forge in 1563, it was converted into a naval church by Christian IV. It is famous for having hosted the wedding between Margrethe II of Denmark, current queen of Denmark, and Prince Henrik in 1967.
These were in the ground everywhere for all the boats to tie up to! We were tripping over them all day!

Kevin and I stopped for lunch at this authentic Italian Restaurant! Made us feel like we were back in Italy! The owners were speaking Italian as were a lot of the guest. Oh I miss Italy! We were very exhausted and starving from our long morning! It was very good but something made Kevin not feel so well for the rest of the day :(
Whats for lunch!? Margarita pizza, carbonara pasta, and Pellegrino! The Pizza was delicious the tomato sauce nice and sweet!

Marmorkirken also known as Fredericks Church is located just north of Amalienborg Palace, the winter home of the royal family. The church was designed by the architect Nicolai Eigtved in 1740. Frederick's Church has the largest church dome in Scandinavia with a span of 31m.
Alexander Nevsky Church is the only Russian Orthodox church in Copenhagen. Built by the Russian Government between 1881 and 1883, prompted by Princess Dagmar of Denmark's marriage to Alexander Alexandrovich on 9 November 1866.
The exterior of the church is dominated by the three onion domes which top the gable facing the street. The design takes its inspiration from 17th century Muscovite architecture. The facade is executed in red and grey bricks with sandstone ornamentations. High on the facade, in a niche above the bells, stands a statue of Alexander Nevsky, the church's patron saint. The pattern reminds me of a sweater!

The Design Museum of Denmark is Denmarks largest museum for Danish and international design and a central exhibition forum for industrial design and applied arts in Scandinavia. The museum brings together and documents the contemporary developments within industrial design, decorative and applied arts.
Design Museum Danmark was founded in 1890 by the Industriforeningen and the Ny Carlsberg Museumslegat. Since 1926, Design Museum Danmark has been housed in one of Copenhagen’s finest rococo buildings, the former King Frederik’s Hospital. This edifice was built during the reign of King Frederik V in the years 1752-57 to designs by the architects Niels Eigtved and Lauritz de Thurah. In the early 1920s the building was renovated and refurbished to suit museum purposes by the architects Ivar Bentsen and Kaare Klint. I also read that they host a textile and dress exhibit which would be very cool to see!
