 We didn't go out much in our time in Rome! The first night we hung out in this little lounge area of the hotel we were staying at, Hotel Morgana. It was a very nice hotel! The next night we went to this bar called The Drunken Ship, in this area of town that looks like its hopping in the summer. The Drunken Ship is an American bar that played all American music, and we also played Beer Pong! It was a lot of fun! Our next night in Rome we moved to Hotel Traiano. Luigi from the hotel suggested this amazing restaurant in this alley way of Rome that had the best deal! The little Italian lady chef loved us (us girls)! The meal was a typical Italian style meal- 4 courses (1-Antipasto spread of meats, olives, bread, lentils, cabbage, and some mystery puffs. 2-Pasta half in a red sauce and half in a white sauce with speck. 3- Veal and pork (we think), home made potato chips, vegetables 4- Lemon cake) and you didn't order off a menu, they just bring you what they are making that evening, family style, and served with Fizzante (Fizzy water that they mix in the wine- its good) and liters of wine (we got white and red)! The Restaurant was so good that we ended up going back there the next night too!

Images of the places we saw walking around during the first day of our trip in Rome! The architectural detailing interior and exterior is amazing! The Ruins surround the Colosseum, The Colosseum is a part of the Ruins. Now there are just columns standing there, its sad to see where buildings once were! The trees were wild all along that area! I felt like they belonged in a jungle not in the middle of a downtown area!
